LAKSA YONG TAU FOO
COOKED WITH TRADITIONAL LAKSA PASTE
Serves 4 – 5
Ingredients:
- 1kg thick bee hoon
- 15 pieces yong tau foo
- 190g Traditional Laksa Paste
- 40g soaked, minced dried shrimp (hae bee)
- 4 tbsp of cooking oil
- 200ml fresh coconut milk/cream
- 30g laksa leaves
- 4 cups of water
- sugar to taste
Directions:
With some oil, stir-fry minced dried shrimps for about 1 minute and set aside.
Heat up oil for about 1 minute over medium-low heat.
Add Traditional Laksa Paste and stir-fry for about 10 minutes or until fragrant.
Add minced shrimp and stir-fry about 1 minute.
Add water and bring to a boil.
Add prepared yong tau foo and bee hoon and cook for about 3 minutes.
Add fresh coconut milk or cream and simmer till cooked.
Add sugar to taste.
Serve with laksa leaves!
